Boarding and Return Times


Check out (Picking Up Houseboat) time for Departure: 3pm-6pm 

Check in (Returning Houseboat) time for Return: 8am-9am

Reservation Office staff will process your paperwork and assign your houseboat number. Instructions for loading your houseboat and parking are provided to you. A Valid Driver's License is required at the time of Check Out. You must be 21 years of age for boat rental. If another member of your party is picking up the rental boat, that person must provide written permission from the contract holder.

All boats must be checked-in between 8-9am. Failure to return on time will result in a $100 an hour late charge being charged to the contract holder. (Strictly Enforced). An additional $200 charge will be assessed for boats returned in an unclean condition.

Maximum Capacity of the houseboats are:

52ft SunSeeker sleeps 12
54ft Mirage sleeps 12
59ft DreamCatcher sleeps 15
59ft Colville sleeps 15


These maximum occupancies are strictly enforced, and any violation of this policy will result in an immediate forfeiture of the security deposit, and may result in termination of the rest of your trip.

Deposits
The required rental deposits are confirming/damage deposits. They do not apply toward rental fees, and are due at the time of booking reservation. Upon your arrival, the confirmation deposit will convert to a damage deposit. The damage deposits are refundable when the boat is checked-in on time, and in the same condition as when checked-out minus fuel, oil and damages. Deposits are as follows $500 for Luxury, $300 for Standard.

Payment

  • Full payment is required sixty (60) days prior to your scheduled departure.

  • If full payment is not received sixty (60) days prior to your departure date, the rental unit is subject to the Cancellation Policy. This policy will be strictly enforced.

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards.

  • Personal Checks can be accepted provided the reservation is outside sixty (60) days from your departure date.

  • Personal Checks CANNOT be accepted for reservations inside sixty (60) days from your departure date.

  • Reservations made with a departure date less than sixty (60) days must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy
The reservation deposit/security is refundable less a $150 handling fee if the reservation is cancelled 60 or more prior to the checkout date. If the cancellation occurs less than 60 but more than 30 days prior to the check out date, the deposit and half of the total rental fee will be forfeited. Reservations cancelled within 30 days of the checkout date, the deposit and the rental fee will be forfeited.

 

FAILURE TO MAKE FULL PAYMENT 60 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CHECK-OUT DATE will automatically cancel the reservation, and the entire deposit will be forfeited.

All cancellations must be requested in writing. If you have multiple reservations, and wish to cancel part of them, payments will not be credited from one reservation to the others. The Cancellation Policy will be followed. Only Management can approve any consideration of policy change, our reservation staff cannot implement it.

Reservations made through specials, promotions are subject to a more stringent cancellation policy, and will not be refunded under most circumstances.

Buy Down of Liability
Your rental fee includes basic personal liability and property damage coverage. You remain liable for up to $5,000.00 in case of an accident or injury while the vessel is in your possession. The Buy Down limits the amount of your liability to the reservation security/deposit. The cost of the Buy-Down is: $20 day/houseboats, $10 day/ski boats, and $5 day/fishing boats; plus tax. Please note, that all of the insurance/buy-down is void, if operation of the boat(s) is in violation of the contract & rules.

Rates Subject to Approval and Change

Keller Ferry is a concessionaire of the National Park Service, Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. As such, all rates are subject to National Park Service approval. All rates quoted or printed are subject to change without notice.

Additional Expenses
The cost of propane, parking at the marina, and pumping of septic tanks are included in the basic service if performed at Keller Ferry Marina. Pump-out and propane may be at the renters expense if done at another marina.

Fuel and oil will be your only additional expenses for operation of your boat(s). Your rental boat will have full fuel and oil tanks upon your departure. Staff top off fuel and/or oil when the boat is returned. An inspection of boat condition and props are also done. These charges can be taken from you deposit provided it covers the cost.

Lost Running Time
The renter assumes full responsibility for any loss in running time. We are not responsible for lost running time due to change of plans, equipment failure, weather, illness, accidents or any other circumstance.

Right to Change Equipment or Cancel
We reserve the right to change equipment, cancel any trip at any time and to call any boat back at any time for reasons related to safety (boat system malfunction, weather, intoxication, or illness of the operator, etc.). We also reserve the use of our facilities, equipment, etc., to any individual or group who, in our judgment, is in a condition which might affect his or her own safety or that of others.

Pet Policy
No Pets will be allowed aboard rental boats. Renter forfeits full deposit if this policy is ignored. No Exceptions.

Procedures for picking up your houseboats

To make your checkout as fast and easy as possible, the recommended arrival procedures are as follows:

  1. Reservation Office:

    1. Contract holder (lessee) will check in at the Reservation Office to complete the proper paperwork.

    2. If someone other than contract holder wishes to do this, written permission from lessee is required.

    3. A photo copy of lessee's Drivers License or Valid ID is kept on file.

    4. The houseboat will then be assigned and you will be directed to the proper loading area.

    5. Inventory - Prior to loading, it is required to complete the Inventory Check List. This is to confirm quantity and quality prior to departure. It will be done again at the end of the trip. Renter is responsible for difference and/or damages based on this list. It will also get you familiar with where the safety equipment is located on your boat.

    6. Orientation - RRE Staff will then start the orientation of the boat safety and function. Answering all your questions throughout the process. Props are check together by renter and staff. Note any marks or mention concerns immediately. They will be checked upon the return of the boat. If nothing is noted, renter is responsible for repair or replacement fees.

    7. Loading - After the orientation is completed. Then renter and guests will be allowed to load the boat. Loading the boat is last so that staff can maneuver safely and avoid distraction to ensure your understanding of the boats features and its functions.

      TIP:
      If you load your belongs onto the boat and leave the dock; unpack while traveling down the lake, you get good start on your trip and a comfortable breeze through the boat during this hot weather.

LOADING THE BOAT
Carts are available to assist you in loading. Please do not utilize the carts until you have been assigned a boat and have been cleared to load. Many groups may be loading simultaneously and the dock may become crowded with people, equipment, staff, and small children. Please exercise patience, and be careful.

Make sure after unloading vehicles, you move them to the designated parking area. Please be considerate, and do not block other vehicles.

Returning your Houseboat
If you are on a luxury boat please drain hot tub.

  1. Coming into the Marina:

    1. Please have houseboat cleaned, all personal gear packed and ready for unloading before you arrive at the marina, and the boat ready for inspection for a quicker check out.

      TIP:
      If you pack most of your belongings the night before onto the front deck, you will have little packing to do and more time for breakfast and coffee to enjoy.

    2. Turn off the Propane.

    3. When you reach the marina, hold out by the red buoys. Contact the marina by radio on channel 2 that you are ready to come in. A staff person will come to you and board from the back to pilot your boat to our dock.

  2. Refueling, Inventory, and Unloading:

    1. Houseboat will be piloted to the fuel dock for service & pump out.

    2. You can unload the houseboat at this time.

    3. Our staff will review inventory (after it is unloaded), check the props and fuel the boat. 

    4. Once the staff are done, they will give you paperwork to take to the Reservation Office. The Deposit paid for the boat is refunded, minus fuel, oil and damages.

    5. If you have multiple boats, please be aware that you will be charged for inventory shortages, and there are no credits for inventory overages. It is your responsibility to ensure that each boat has the proper inventory on each boat before the boat arrives at our marina.

    6. If you leave before your contract has been closed, you have authorized RRE to complete the transaction of charges of fuel and/or damages to your contract. You have waived any right to dispute charges that may have been levied.

    7. Refunds of the security deposit will be made to the contract holder only by check. 

    8. You may have your final charges taken out of your security deposit, provided that there are enough to cover this expense. If not, payment must be made immediately with Visa, Mastercard or Discover cards only.
